Within the framework of the Project DECISIVE the Waste Agency of Catalonia will carry out a pilot demonstration for decentralised management of municipal biowaste, which will imply the purchase of an anaerobic digester eco-designed at micro scale.
On 16 November the Waste Agency invited technology suppliers and other stakeholders who can provide expertise on the anaerobic digestion of municipal biowaste to a presentation of the DECISIVE Project where an Open Market Consultation was launched, in order to obtain a complete definition of a subsequent tender, in accordance with the requirements of the Public Procurement of Innovation Solutions (PPI). The aims of the open market consultation are as follows:
- To inform about the bidding process, in order to achieve the broadest participation of the interested parties;
- To know the technical characteristics and the quality of the solutions available on the market;
- To allow interested parties to make comments and suggestions that will be considered by the Waste Agency of Catalonia in the definition of the pilot project.
It should be made clear that the consultation is not binding on contractual effects.
