The project partner Refarmers, who is in charge of the demonstration site in Lyon welcomed Suez, ITS, Aeris, Irstea and CFPH on 18 July at their premises in order to discuss and prepare the demonstration site.
After a visit of the demonstration site, partners discussed the final technical specifications for the micro Anaerobic Digestion (mAD), stirling engine and solid-state fermentation (SSF) pilots and their specific location near the Refarmers greenhouse. The mAD demonstrator will be ordered very soon in order to receive it by the end of the year. The SSF pilot will be first tested on the Catalan demonstration site and will be then be transported to Lyon in the last six months of the project.
Process of permit obtaining was also on the agenda. In order to make administrative steps in the short term, it has been decided to start the demonstration with only vegetable food waste and to ask for permit extension after a few months.
